Care in the Last Trimester

Most complications in a multiple-fetus pregnancy arise in the last trimester, as the babies grow larger. The biggest problem with twins is premature labor and premature delivery. When you are carrying twins, you get "big" earlier and you get larger than you do with a single pregnancy. This can cause problems, such as difficulty breathing, back pain, hemorrhoids, varicose veins, pelvic pressure and pelvic pain.
