Pregnancy Questions and Answers

Question:
What can I do if I think I'm having a miscarriage?
Answer:
Talk to your doctor. In nearly all instances, you can do nothing to stop a miscarriage from happening. No surgical procedure or medicine can stop a miscarriage. Most physicians recommend bed rest and decreased activity. Some recommend use of the hormone progesterone, but not all agree with its use. Ultrasound and blood tests may be used to help your doctor determine whether you are going to miscarry, but you may have to wait and see.
