Many hospitals have breastfeeding specialists you can call for help. Also call your doctor's office—they may be able to refer you to someone knowledgeable. You can look in the telephone book for La Leche League, an organization that promotes breastfeeding. Someone from the local group can give you advice and encouragement, and you may also choose to attend support-group meetings. Incidentally, your baby and other small children are also welcome at these meetings.
