Future mom

There is a lot of hormones in your blood by now, which are charge of pregnancy. The morning nausea will stop bothering you and you will become less irritable. The feeling of anxiety connected with risk of a miscarriage will leave you.

Your baby

Your baby’s eyelids still grown together and eyes will open only in four months. If his hands are long enough, he will start to suck his thumb. But generally speaking "to suck" is not the word; he simply puts his thumb in the mouth. Good news is that - all twenty teeth their rudiments are more true) were generated and wait for the birth.
The fabric of which the baby’s bones are made, especially the endings and the head is being laid out. A pair of ribs is expected to appear. Nose and chin appear more distinctly. In several weeks your child will start to move as "an adult"; his chest will start to rise, by breathing, he will even learn how to swallow some amount of amniotic fluids which he will release back by doing a "a small one". The pancreas starts to produce insulin.
The basic role in feeding of the child, supplying him with oxygen and outflow of processed products now is carried out by the placenta; during the next months amniotic fluids will play a great role in the development of the baby. By the 13th week of pregnancy the placenta is already reliably generated and ready to accept from ovaries progesterone and estriol hormones, which play a huge role in development of pregnancy. The placenta weighs about 1.0582 ounces
A rather cloudy membrane envelops the baby. The umbilical cord extends from the upper left side. The membrane consists of two layers grown together: amnion and chorion.

Fetus length and weight

Length from crown to sacrum – 4.13 inches.
Weight - approximately 0,9983 ounces.
