Volume of your blood increases as much as the previous week, mostly due to plasma. Plasma is a liquid component of the blood; it is capable of dissolving blood corpuscles. Especially for this reason many pregnant women are diagnosed the physiological anemia. The level of blood potency is called hematocrit or corpuscular volume. The most critical figures of hematocrit are observed during this week. Physiological anemia is a normal occurrence but consult with your doctor anyway to see whether you are receiving enough iron; otherwise there is a threat of the real anemia.
You are still active enough and feel well in the second trimester. During the second trimester, the libido or sexual desire usually increases. It happens due to the enlargement of the clitoris and vagina; and therefore some women have orgasm for the first time during this trimester. Do not worry; it does not harm the baby in any way. The kid is well surrounded by amniotic fluids and the fetal bubble. So easily engage in sexual intercourse if there is any desire and if there are no contraindications for this purpose; therefore consult with your doctor first. Soon you’ll enter the third and final trimester of the pregnancy.

Your baby

His perception improves day by day. There is a full set of neurons in the brain already. Touching is the baby’s way to know the surroundings. Touching is one of the first skills of the baby; he learns to understand how to bend hands and legs, how to move those, where different parts of the body as located and how they are correspond to each other. The child learns how to touch his own face and as well as rubbing his hands and legs. If he would like to suck a finger, he can do that either by bringing the finger to the mouth, or lowering his head to it. These skills are fixed in his mind after birth and the child starts to familiarize himself with the world. And that’s why he throws anything possible into his mouth. That is the sign of curiosity.
Your baby has gotten full-grown fingers now. He sucks his finger and sometimes touches his face to learn. He has got eye brows too.
